Roasted Onions with Balsamic Honey Glaze

Pareve, Vegan -- Serves 6

Ingredientsrsz quartered onion copy

  • 1 Tbsp. olive oil
  • 1 tsp. dried thyme or 1 Tbsp. fresh thyme leaves
  • ½ tsp. kosher salt
  • ¼ tsp. pepper
  • 4 large onions, peeled and quartered
  • ½ cup pareve chicken broth
  • 1 Tbsp. balsamic vinegar
  • 1 Tbsp. honey


  1. Preheat oven to 425º.
  2. Combine olive oil, thyme, salt, pepper, and onions in a shallow roasting pan or cookie sheet with sides.
  3. Bake 30 min. or until lightly browned, stirring once.
  4. Pour broth over onions, stir gently to combine.
  5. Bake 10 min. longer ir unti the onions are tender.
  6. Combine the vinegar and honey stirring with a whisk.
  7. Drizzle over the onions and toss gently to coat.

Can be served alone or in combination with a steamed vegetable like green beans.
